Inhaltliches
We will cover human development from its prenatal origins to its end on the deathbed with the help of the textbook Human Development: A Life-Span View by Robert V. Kail & John C. Cavanaugh, 7th edition (2016). In the lecture, we will examine physical, cognitive, and social development in infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and old age with a special emphasis on occupational development.
To acquaint students with developmental theories and a lifespan developmental perspective so that they are able to explain why some developmental changes occur, predict specific developmental events on the basis of theories and empirical findings, and influence some developmental outcomes in their future careers.
