Inhaltliches
Humor is serious business. Research highlights humor as a powerful tool in the workplace: It builds confidence and credibility, deepens connections, fuels creativity, and supports resilience when challenges arise.
Inspired by their book “Humor, Seriously” (Jennifer Aaker and Naomi Bagdonas), this seminar combines findings from behavioral science with lessons from comedians and leaders across industries to explain why humor matters - and how profoundly it can shape our work and our lives.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
• Recognize the role of humor in psychology, leadership, power, politics, entrepreneurship and marketing.
• Evaluate the benefits and potential pitfalls of humor within professional contexts.
• Identify and reflect on different humor types.
