Gasthörerprogramm
Development of methodological and content-related knowledge of the subject of ethics in its entire spectrum, with special emphasis on the concept of sustainability. The aim of the course is to enable students to reflect on relevant theories and to develop a capacity for ethical judgment in research contexts as well as in everyday debates. Fundamental ethical reflection models as well as structures and argumentation models in the field of applied ethics are presented, and a philosophical-historical passage through ethics from Aristotle to Kant and the present is covered in the course.
Historical and systematic in-depth knowledge of central concepts and questions of ethics, with special emphasis on the philosophy of sustainability. Transfer of systematic and historical knowledge in the major studied as a part of natural and human sciences.
Communication of the current state of scientific discussion in the field of ethics. Ability to discuss current ethical questions.
Analytical and critical competence in dealing with challenging philosophical-ethical primary and secondary sources. Preparation of content that includes larger theoretical contexts such as structuring competence in the field of fundamental and applied ethics. Basic knowledge in the field of bio-, economic, medical and environmental ethics
Ability for self-organization, argumentation, critical reading of primary and secondary sources as well as the associated practice of competence in interpretation.
