This seminar focuses on inter- and transdisciplinary competencies for the future of work - Future Skills. Beyond the boundaries of one's discipline, changes, requirements, and consequences of constant change are critically discussed from a psychological perspective. Students will contribute their individual and disciplinary viewpoints to jointly build an understanding of what the future holds.
Overall, this seminar engages students to actively reflect on and apply future skills within their specific fields and engage in interdisciplinary perspectives. Future skills encompass the essential competencies required to thrive in dynamic work environments.
By considering their future work domains, students will engage in various reflections to understand the relevance of future skills, how they can be applied to their personal learning and development processes, to discuss the chances and limits of artificial intelligence (AI) and its ethical aspects. Students will explore how these skills intersect with emerging trends, technological advancements, and societal changes, enabling them to navigate and contribute meaningfully to their respective fields.
The accompanying reflective format will provide students with opportunities to assess their skill sets, strengths, and areas for improvement. They will also be encouraged to consider their future professional aspirations and how future skills can be transferred and integrated into their learning and development processes.
The seminar offers the students opportunities to:
