- The intensification of the water cycle

- The historical perspective
- Scenario-based projections into the future
- Climate change in the regions
- Shifting vegetation zones
- Effects of climate change on biotic communities and populations
- Effects of climate change on ecosystem functions and ecosystem services
- Consideration of selected systems particularly affected by climate change

Insights into current climate research, familiarisation with the relationships between climate change and ecosystem functions; description and analysis of ecosystem changes
and analysis of ecosystem changes; formulation and possible (experimental) testing of hypotheses on the influence of climate change on ecosystems; presentation and
presentation of the interrelationships discussed (oral and written)
