The module introduces students to key methods of conducting research in applied fields of psychology. It conveys influential, societally relevant empirical findings and underlying theories, and elaborates numerous key applications across the wide spectrum of societal fields in which psychology plays a role.

Students know how psychological science is defined, how it works, which prior findings and theories are relevant for societal transformation, as well as how psychology can be used to exert a deliberate transformative influence on our society and numerous challenges of the 21st century (e.g., climate crisis, democracy concerns, artificial intelligence, etc.).

Lecture and Seminar by Prof. Dr. Loschelder will be held in person on Campus.
