Content
The course deals with applied, industrial, occupational, personnel, and work psychology as well as organizational behavior. Specifically, the course covers the following topics: (1) Individual Attributes and Work Performance, (2) Job satisfaction, Commitment, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior, (3) Work Motivation and Self-regulation, (4) Job analysis and Job Design, (5) Training, Development, and Evaluation, (6) Stress, and (7) Leadership and Teams. The course provides insights into established theories as well as latest scientific findings in the field.
The students know and understand the concepts and theories of the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In particular, the students know and understand theories related to performance models & individual attributes, work motivation & self-regulation, job satisfaction and commitment, job analysis and job design, training, stress, leadership & teams. The students know current developments and recent empirical findings in each area.
