This colloquium is targeted for IBAE students in the 6th semester. Students will be made familiar with the processes of scientific research and academic writing. They will receive guidance on how to narrow down their problem focus, how to search for relevant literature, how to do key methodological choices, and how to discuss their findings and theoretical contributions against the background of the existing literature. The colloquium will feature a mix of useful tips&tricks from the lecturer as well as student presentations of their work-in-progress bachelor theses.

The aim of this colloquium is to enable students to overcome typical challenges of the scientific research process and academic writing. Students will benefit from presenting their work-in-progress theses and from receiving critical-constructive feedback by the lecturer and the fellow students.

Presentation and discussion of work-in-progress bachelor theses (incl. early-stage ideas). The timeslots for the presentations are allocated in the initial session of the colloquium.
