In the first chapter, we cover the most important primary and secondary energy sources. Later, we examine the methods of energy generation, storage, transportation, and utilization.
In the next major chapter, we discuss the impact of the energy industry on the climate. What is the scientific basis of climate change and global warming?
In the third block, we discuss the impact of the energy industry and climate change on the global politics.
The seminars are supplemented by several excursions, offering a diverse, current program for the students.
Two guest lecturers from the industry and the business will deliver lectures on selected topics in the seminar room. We invite international professors for giving additional and very interesting lessons in London and in Hamburg over Zoom.

We want to realize an interactive studywork. Students will actively participate in the seminar. You have to present your ideas to the seminar. You can also heartily invited to write a scientific publication after the examination procedure.

The examination consists of the oral and written part. The oral report means a presentation in groups, consisting of 3 people. The time is 20 minutes for each group. You are free, regarding the topic. It must be only connected to the topic of the seminar.

The written home work consists of 15 pages and will be written als in the (same) group. The deadline is September 15, 2026.
