Are you uncomfortable speaking in English in front of a group? Do you want to say something in your classes, but can’t get the words out fast enough? Do you want to be prepared to meet workplace demands, where employees are valued for their ability to communicate? If so, then this is the course for you.
In this student-centered class, we will work on vocabulary-building strategies while improving oral fluency and proficiency skills in English. Moreover, students will practice their public speaking skills in various contexts (small talk, presentations, interviewing, etc).
* to practice communicating on topics of professional, public, and personal interest.
* to improve fluency, debating, and public-speaking skills in English.
* to improve one's use of voice in presentations (pauses, pace, expressiveness, volume, etc.)
* to practice methods for overcoming limitations in vocabulary
KI-Nutzung: Die reflektierte Nutzung von KI ist ausschließlich zum Sprachenlernen in privaten, datenschutzkonformen KI-Systemen (z. B. den Tools der Academic Cloud) erlaubt.
Die Nutzung von KI bei der Erstellung von Prüfungsleistungen ist nicht gestattet.
Das Hochladen urheberrechtlich geschützter Materialien (z. B. Fotos aus Lehrbüchern) in KI-Systeme ist ebenfalls nicht erlaubt.

Use of AI: The critical use of AI is permitted exclusively for language learning in private, data protection-compliant AI systems (e.g., tools from the Academic Cloud).
The use of AI for assessment tasks is not allowed.
Uploading copyrighted materials (e.g., photos from textbooks) into AI systems is also prohibited.
