This course introduces the topic of digital resistance to students. In the course, we will discuss what digital resistance is and how it looks like. Grounded in academic literature from social sciences, particularly organization studies, management studies, (critical) data and media studies, we will investigaste and analyse various forms of how individuals and collective actors resist powerful and dominant actors. The course will allow students to learn about the concept of digital resistance and will apply critical thinking as well as develop academic and social skills through interactive sessions. The course will be grounded in in-class discussions of key readings, group work along case studies, as well as written reflections.
The goal of the course is to introduce students to the topic of digital resistance and to allow them to develop critical perspectives towards digital technologies based on various theories of social sciences.
