The seminar forms a reference space for the program series "Worlds in Repair" at Kunstquartier Bethanien and KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art. Attending its exhibition, symposia, and workshops, students explore how art and critical learning can serve as acts of repair: confronting the enduring impacts of violence, displacement, and the destruction of cultural heritage, and understanding repair as inseparable from justice. Questions of provenance and restitution are placed in dialogue with a collective practice that resists hierarchical knowledge and opens space for imagining the world otherwise.
