Explore the world from above with spatial data! In this advanced course, we will dive into more complex spatial problems focusing on remote sensing. Together we will get to know and utilize a wide range of remote sensing and other advanced GIS-tools to assess real world socio-environmental issues and topics. The aim is to get a good foundation of understanding remote sensing techniques and learn how to utilize data such as satellite images as well as analyze or even create land cover classification and land cover change detection. While also investigating the theoretical background, we focus on the application to provide you with the necessary tools for your own future research approaches. Although we will glance into other software this course centres around QGIS.

Apply spatial analysis of remote sensing data with QGIS. Develop your own project using remote sensing data and different QGIS application tools

Please bring a laptop where QGIS is installed an running without troubles if available.
