Einleitung und Literaturübersicht, Geschichte der Ethologie, Konzepte und Forschungsmethoden, proximate und ultimate Ebenen, Teilgebiete der Ethologie, Grundbegriffe und Kategorien des Verhaltens, Komplexe Verhaltensreaktionen, Motivationsanalyse, Verhalten und Umwelt, Verhaltensontogenese, Verhaltensgenetik, Lernverhalten, Aspekte der Ethoökologie

Objective

Kenntnis grundlegender Termini dieser Wissenschaft. Überblick zu den Arbeitsmethoden und Forschungsgebieten der Ethologie. Verständnis tierischen und menschlichen Verhaltens und seiner phylogenetischen Entstehung und Modifizierung.

Diese Vorlesung ist die erste von zwei Vorlesungen des Moduls "Grundlagen der Ethologie und Evolution" und wird in der ersten Semesterhälfte stattfinden. In der zweiten Semesterhälfte folgt die Vorlesung "Vom Molekül zum Menschen" am selben Ort und zur gleichen Zeit.
