The seminar is structured around four thematic pillars: data governance under the GDPR; the EU AI Act and its risk-based regulatory architecture; intellectual property and liability in the context of AI-generated outputs and automated systems; and global AI governance, including a comparative overview of key jurisdictions and prospects for international regulatory coordination.
By the end of the seminar, students will be able to identify and apply the core legal rules governing data and AI, critically evaluate regulatory design choices, and advise on legal compliance in technology-intensive contexts.
